joseph prince and the priceless effortless reduced version bible (“perv”)

i have been told, over at joseph prince’s church, they sing the old hymn, Jesus Loves Me, a little differently.

the little children of the 18,000, instead of singing “they are weak but He is strong”, sings “they are BLESSED ‘cos He is strong.”

fantastic, don’t you think?

i mean after all who cares if the words were originally written to comfort a dying child? dying children is just so negative. we should change it for the rest of our little living ones. besides, weak is just so weak. Blessed is so much nicer. Yay!

effortless jo not only makes me laugh. he inspires me to be filthy rich (so i can seed more and become even filthier and richer) which is why i’m launching my latest project – the Priceless Effortless Reduced Version of the Bible (“PERV”).

inspired by effortless jo’s lyric-changing ways, but somewhat constrained by my ugly conservative christian values; i have decided that while changing bible verses is out of the question; ignoring the ugly, difficult, not aligned with the gospel of grace that effortless jo correctly preaches is perfectly acceptable.

again, because of my ugly conservative christian ways, i am not deleting any verses. instead i’m blanking them out. doesn’t it feel good that we can keep the really blessed positive messages and ignore the horrible, scary ones?

here’s a peek at the PERV version of the Beatitudes:

(click picture for bigger version)

i honestly think i have a winner here. this isn’t your ordinary christ in red lettering bible. it’s a one of a kind ignore-boxes-in-red version. it will do wonders for bible memory and propagate a correct understanding of grace that as effortless jo reminds us in the definitive “destined to reign”, many other preachers simply ain’t doing it right.

i don’t know about you. i think i will make plenty of $$$ with this and i feel absolutely Greatly Blessed, Highly Favored and Deeply Loved.

  1. Sir. Your entire book of Lamentations will probably be gone.

Which is sad (or rather, happy).

Except maybe ‘The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning …’ (Lam 3 : 22 – 23)

  2. Sir,

i hear you. But we may have to blank out part of the verse too. because i think some of the 18,000 might argue this was written before Jesus died and rose from the dead. maybe this verse should read “they are new every moment”. so we may have to blank that part out.

this certainly isn’t an effortless undertaking. we need better advisors. i don’t trust any other preacher except effortless jo cos he said on the 1st page of his book that God says other preachers are preaching the gospel of grace wrong.

God himself spoke to him so he must be right! plus the church is growing tremendously! plus there are signs and miracles! plus his bio is the most inspiring bio i have read! plus they are building a great institution to bless our community – a shopping mall.

sir, we will do well to get him on our editorial team. (i would also privately ask him how to keep his hair so nicely in place and the secrets to secure a Proverbs 31 wife.)

  3. Hi guys, one thing we can be sure that the bible never says, in any version:
    “Blessed are the cynical.”

  4. You sound like someone who has been let down, who cannot believe good can happen, who cannot believe that God is so good, that He’s sacrifice is worth so much more than just getting us saved from eternal condemnation.. ops.. do u even believe that Jesus saved us from eternal condemnation??
The foundation of the grace message preached by joseph prince is no different from those preached by ministers like joel osteen, joyce meyer, terry mize and many other good teachers of grace. In fact some of them are personal friends with JP and they endorse him in their preaching.. Do you think their sermons are a joke like JP’s too??
Are you simply targeting your criticism at JP bcos of personal dislikes or are you objectively against his teachings? If you do object to his teachings then show proofs, quote verses.. this way you’ll be more credible and logical then just sounding like an empty barrel – making lots of noise!
Perhaps you are simply suffering from having a small mind that cannot comprehend the too much of God’s goodness and love for us. Can you believe that Jesus’ sacrifice is sufficient to save us once and for all from eternal condemnation? After all, He is the beloved Son of God! The bible says we’re joint-heir with Christ and that we have right standing with God! We’re in Christ and Him in us.. Not when we die but the moment we accept Christ as our God and Saviour!! How can we have sickness in Christ or poverty or loneliness? it’s an insult to His greatness and might! However, God also comes down to our level..(literally too) If you choose to believe that He is a big God that can make all things turn out for good in your life simply bcos He is able and is willing, then He will be a big God to you! But if you chose to believe that He’s not able to take you out of bondage in your life and in your mind, if you choose to believe He don’t want you to enjoy all the blessings He has in store for us, He is not going to force it upon you. Read the bible and you’ll realise, Jesus never bothered with right and wrongs as much as the well-being of His Father’s beloved people! The people’s need were always above the laws of Moses that was in fact written by God’s hands!
And after having suffered so much before and on the Cross FOR US, to help us fulfil the law (bcos we cannot!), I think He wants us to enjoy every single bit of blessings that was brought forth by His sacrifice!! So yes, I do believe that God wants me to be an overcomer, that sickness and diseases don’t come from God because my God is too good for that and that He loves us too much to enjoy inflicting pain on us when He no longer has to after Jesus fulfilled the law! So what is your God like?
One last note. If Joseph Prince irritates u so much, then ignore Him, don’t read His book. If you really think he’s blaspheming against God, God will shut him down. Since you believe God is so eager to judge our right and wrongs, don’t you think God will “put out his wick” (as mentioned in the bible) if he really is a false prophet? Or do u think God needs your help to weed out bad messengers? Let’s not try to steady God’s ark and play judge in His place alrite. Unless, you can proof from the bible that he’s blaspheming, i suggest you stop writing against. For the bible says that whosoever go against the man God, is against God Himself.. n i believe you know the place of those against the Mighty God..
And i won’t be coming back to your blog because there’s nothing constructive in here.. so there is no reason reply… but guessing that you might belong to a kind of people who constantly needs to mouth off something to show off their supremacy, you are likely gonna reply anyway…

  5. @ CQL

What’s with the wall of text? And your ad-hominems seems familar, like…

Wait I remember! A branch davidian I met was raging and foaming in the mouth in that same manner as well.

    3 points
    1) It’s prove not proof
    2) I’m pretty sure God didn’t anoint you to impose YOUR version of Christianity upon other people.

“Or do u think God needs your help to weed out bad messengers?”

    Oh the irony.

  6. What is up with all the negativity? Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but why waste your time writing negative things about people that you don’t even know (especially a man of God). Why not write about something positive and uplifting instead of constantly bad-mouthing and condemning people who are not doing you any harm. You might not like what that person has to say but seeing as you are NOT the Lord Almighty, who are you to judge a man of God? The Bible says “judge not lest you be judged.” It also tells us not to “judge before the time.” You may not agree with everything Joseph Prince says, but let the man speak his peace–God may very well want him to preach the very message that you’re condemning. Don’t be a hindrance to what God is doing–there are far too many naysayers out there who seem to think that it’s their job to correct everybody. Let God be God.

  7. Bro, I’m reading some of your words but more so I am feeling all of your scoffing tearing through the screen. Why??? Are you really a Born again Christian? I don’t know why you call the man effortless Jo? Do you understand that there is a place one can get to in their hearts and minds where even our trials and work can be met with the peace and contentment of the Lords Rest? The Lords Rest is the peace and understanding of our Salvation, Sanctification and Glorification. This is Good News! Christ who is the only Hope of Glory is in us.

Please answer a question for me and I will check back? Read 2 Cor 3:16-18 In this passage please tell me who has the veil over their faces and whos image is the mirror reflecting?

  8. Brudder Frank! That’s really rough (read judgmental) asking another christian if he’s really born again.
Your short comments has encapuslated the whole works of JC yes all 44 books (read very chim 🙂

  9. Dude, you’re greatly mistaken,,, for asking is not Judging. Nether is a statement based on good judgment, judging either. I don’t know what the intent of this site is, or if its a Christan site but that’s not the point… What I was asking was regarding 2 Cor 3:16-18 Some of those who understand that passage may understand why I’d ask this question, and how a great blessing could come out of it, which was indeed my intent. So if you would. feel free tell me who has the veil over their faces and whos image is the mirror reflecting?

  10. Dude, please, you got to be kidding me… Are you for real or is this some type of crazy Fun house in the twilight zone??? What a rant,,, Bro, bro, bro… Ok, so I gave it a shot.

    All the Best,

ps, you still didn’t answer my question, did you even read it?

  11. Brudder Frank, if I may suggest this is for thinking and, yes, laughing at yourself site. In the words of P Joe himself: “Some Christian swallow everything; hook, line, sinker…boots also makan :). Start asking questions 🙂

  12. you said: i hope the message answers your question: But I really didn’t see an answer the question I asked you. Why do you say you love that verse? And for real bro, do you know what it is really saying and what that means to us? Who has the veil over their faces and whos image is the mirror reflecting?

  13. RE: mirror If you ever figure it out, and after it stuns you to glory, feel free to e-mail me and we can get you on some other food. Peace

  14. I just read this, or should I say just part of it, the rest was not worth even reading. I am so sorry you feel like you do. I personally did not know that song was written for a dying child, so why do we want our children to sing such a song if it is for the dying. Actually that song always feels me with so much peace and the changing of one word, come on, your kidding me right? Picky picky. As far as making everything seeming rosey, since I finally began to understand Grace, I see the possibilities, not what I was in before with the spirit of condemnation that comes out of most churches and the deep root of condemnation in my own life. If you like your law and your laments, go head. Jesus is sitting at the right had of God the Father making intercession for us and I don’t think he lamenting about your existance, or I could be wrong. I know I plan to live in the Grace of my Savior showing Him daily that no matter how difficult life gets, I plan to live joyeously and praise Him joyeously.

For those who think I must have life perfect, I do. I was depressed, raped, my husband abandoned me after the birth of three boys, the oldest who is autistic, my second husband tried to kill me, I was rejected because of these things at church after church and despised by most in my family because I smile and love my life and mostly my Savior.

Maybe you should watch Pastor Prince and Joel Osteen a bit, your disposition might just change. Get a hold of the whole gospel, not just the part your used to. Be blessed. I am praying for you.

  15. As far as a bible that takes out the hard parts or lamenting parts, your kidding right or being sarcastic. I have better things to do with my time the spend it on christians who can only find fault. I am not looking for such a bible and I am a little scared of the one you are reading if this is how you interpret your walk with God.

  16. Dear Tammy,

Thanks for sharing about your life. I’m sorry that you had to go through all that. You’re absolutely right—you should not waste any of your time reading my blog.

    My best to you.

  17. Dude, what a waste,,, writing and advising people not to read your Works? Should not our Speech alway be with Grace – seasoned with salt that we may know how to answer every man as the Lord Jesus would? Colossians 4:6 We as Christians should have the words of Life flowing through us. Not contrariness.

Instead, I’d admonish you with: Ephesians 4:29-30 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister Grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. There is that word again, Grace… Look at this platform you have,,, Let not your good be evil spoken of Bro.

Plus, you still have not looked into that other verse closely enough to answer that question I posed. Please yo, no big reply of vain janglings for me. Just save it.

  18. Sir,

Your PERV edition of the Beatitudes is incorrect–I recall seeing the word “grace” in capital letters in the passage at least 20 times. But other than that, keep up the good work. Glad someone gets the Artist Formerly Known as Prince.

  19. Tell me you who want to be under the law are you not aware of what the law says. Trust me- you don’t want to try to fulfill the law. The beatitude WAS written to a crowd of people before Jesus died for their sins. The only man who did all of the things listed here is and always will be Jesus Christ. Even someone who managed to do all these things A.D did these things in Christ. Stress the word “in”, because it is still Him- unless it is a self righteous person who wants everyone including God to see what a good little boy or girl they’ve been. Not knockin’ you now- I’ve sung that song before. I even went to the trouble to try and keep the Sabbath every friday night through Saturday night. I was the picture of self righteousness. Wanna know what became of my quest to keep the law and actually do the the things in the beatitudes in my own power? Let’s just say that the more I tried the uglier I got on the inside.Striking a note with anyone? Then came Pastor Prince on T.V. Read his book. True change to make a long story short. Not just on the outside (See Jesus’ outside of the cup parable destinated at the self righteous crowd).By the way, on my quest for Jesus duplication “FleshStyle”, I’d read passages like these and they’d bother my conscience like Jesus was talking to me. Brood of vipers, white washed tombs portions etc. Do they “get” to you, sir, even if only subconsciencely? Remember, a sister to the verse I started with is Galatians 3:10″Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” A curse doesn’t necessarily mean growing a seventh toe or anything- could be a negative disposition robbing even blinding you of something true and exponentually good.So please be honest. I wouldn’t you to break a law you might happen to be trying to keep.

  20. P.S Sorry to those who think that was too long. Women have thousands of word on the inside.Hundreds of thousands when I’m passionate about something and me and probably the other ProPrince peeps passin’ through this site are too.

  21. I’d rather have absolute security I don’t need to do anything to go to heaven. The contrary viewpoint will make you miserable as you strive for your salvation.

  22. twinsmum,

i’m replying because i can’t resist asking: are you the mom of luke and leia?

since i am at it, nobody is talking about salvation here, rather we’re talking about god loves you= all things nice, sweet and effortless after salvation.

but your words remind me of the many times i have put things on the altar of certainty and also the words of the wise men of metallica:

it’s hard to see clear. is it me? is it fear?

  23. Well back to the point of this thread…All these preachers are teaching a false Gospel. They teach a health, wealth and prosperity gospel. Which is completely ridiculous …..I mean did Jesus really tell his Disciples life was going to be EASIER when they followed him? All the Disciples died HORRENDOUS deaths….so much for the “Health” part of it. Was it because of a lack of faith?… Oh not to mention Jesus constantly mentions that following Him will be difficult..NOT THE ROAD TO RICHES! Oh and maybe all the Letters our buddy Paul wrote to the churches….he was a “Hebrew of Hebrews”…i guess the fact that he struggled with sin was because he just “Didn’t love God enough…”

Its ridiculous…..Google “Health, Wealth and Prosperity Gospel” or “FALSE TEACHERS” the two are synonymous with each other.

In all reality we need to pray for these wack-jobs…because they lead probably 1,000,000 or more people….and there followers are headed where there going…the lake of Fire..

  24. Well i cant speak for everyone else Stanley..but what i wrote is the truth…of H.W.&P. preaching.

It must be cool just to pop in and drop some random Christain Lingo…and split….If u think Im wrong. Then correct me, its commanded….

  25. I agree with wildfan88. Many will come in my name claining to know me but will deceive MANY. Did not Jesus speak that?

  26. To all of you reading this, grace and peace to you from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. I respectfully submit that we all think carefully about our comments towards each other, because at best we all see “dimly” each from their own perspective. To say that health and prosperity is denied in the New Testament (and Old Testament as well), is inaccurate…and at the same time to deny some of the deaths and physical harm of children of God from the Christ-rejecting political powers is also in inaccurate. Paul had many opportunities to die, including a shipwreck and time at sea, along with a stoning, and 5 times with 39 lashes. The Bible even shows Paul preaching a man to sleep and death and then raising him back to life. Paul had times without money, and yet at the end of his life he is living in his own rented house well supplied. He even tells the church at Philipi that he is trying to decide to stay or go to be with Jesus. This is the power of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said, “so you may know The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins…He said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you get up, take up your mat and go home.” Immediately he stood up in front of them. Jesus later gave that authority to man again starting with the those in The Upper Room. The Gospel is Jesus Christ and His perfect work on the Cross for all mankind. It’s not for angels. Interestingly enough, I find no scriptual rebuke from God for the sin of a believer, because He would have to rebuke His Son…However He did leave that to us. If a brother is sinning to confront and restore eachother, with a warning that it could be us at some point because we live down here in a corruptible body. So I respectfully suggest we treat each other in love. When any of us post something on the internet, we become preachers ourselves even if we don’t realize it. It will influence people and as such we then are responsible and will give some sort of account to our Lord Jesus. He is pleased when we choose mercy and grace, so let’s please Him.

  27. hi BenjGen555,

that must be the most politically correct words ever to grace these pages but i hear you and i don’t disagree about respect.

now i am going to assume you are one of the 17,000 based on your nick and let me respectfully encourage you to write a letter to effortless jo and remind him of your words, “I respectfully submit that we all think carefully about our comments towards each other”.

after all, on pg. 252 of his book, effortless jo wrote, “For those who hate me, I don’t take it personally because they are actually hating the gospel.” and on pg. 172, he wrote, “I honestly don’t understand how those who oppose grace can still teach within the context of the Scriptures” (basically, whoever disagrees with me on grace can kiss my ass).

and you should know in his corny sermons, he often makes fun of people.

i also hope you realise that because he’s a public figure and he’s published a book that is in the free marketplace of ideas, people are entitled to call it the way they see it. I personally won’t call him a heretic. I do think though his marketing is rather incredulous and for a man so passionate about grace, it’s ironical that he isn’t gracious at all. His book is simply the worst I read this year (i don’t disagree with the fundamental belief that grace is freely given, freely received). I think the subtitle for Destined to Reign should be Why I Am Right.

you probably disagree with me. I do agree that we see “dimly”. but if you believe in respect, you should write to effortless jo to tell him to chill. while you are at it, you might want to ask him to go easy on the marketing claims and rewrite that bio. and for someone so 100% sold on God’s grace and sufficiency, he might want to consider giving some of his content free instead of selling everything. then again, there’s enough bad content on the internet; many would say this blog goes under that label but there for the grace of God go I.

  28. Hi 17,000

Please don’t read our “rubbish” about effortless jo. Carry on living the lives that you want to live. No need to repent, no need to walk according to the Spirit.

If you read too much of what we say, you might just change your mind. That would be bad isn’t it?

Why do we need to repent and walk according to the Spirit? What for? Don’t waste time when we have Massive Grace for Massive Sin.

Just sin till your hearts content. It is ok…really. Trust me…. I’m a true prophet and a true teacher.

  29. Carriergroup, read the book, and if you don’t come away seeing that he’s saying ‘sin shall not have dominion over you BECAUSE you’re not under law, but under grace’,it’s because you don’t want to. Walking in the Spirit is the consequence of appropriating ‘no condemnation apart from works.’ As new creations with new natures ‘dead to sin and alive to God’ through dying to the law with Christ on the cross…this new Covenant is unilateral, and we are transformed from one level of glory to another by beholding Christ and ourselves in Christ, through new Covenant faith. This way,and this way only, we get self-righteous flesh out of the way, and bring forth the fruit of the Spirit. With a whole life of (gospel) repentance as those already cleansed…What new Covenant saints have with the promised ‘abundant life’ and ‘rivers of living water’ to freely quench thirst, giving rest for the weary and burdened, is the satisfaction of the hunger of Old covenant saints described in the beatitudes. Compare Gal3,4,about heirs coming into sonship.

  30. Our Abba is more awesome than any of us could ever imagine. Our solar system is in the Milky Way galaxy. Each galaxy has ~ 100 billion stars(suns). Astronomers estimate that the universe contains ~ 100 billion galaxies. God, our Holy Abba, knows each star by name. That same God knows the number of hairs on 7 billion heads on planet Earth. Are you beginning to form a picture of the awesomeness of our creator now? It makes more sense now why God answered Moses the way He did when Moses askes who He was. He couldn’t have answered Larry, Joe or Tom. He is “I AM”!!! “I AM” is on the very threshold of restoring all things. We’ve gone full circle and the Garden of Eden is just on the horizon. The sad part is that many will never know that utopia. Many choose the WIDE gate that leads to destruction(Hell). That’s the path of least resistance, or the EASY path. Few choose the NARROW gate, which leads to our Abba. It takes work/effort/sacrifice, which is why it’s NARROW. My prayer is that every person is prepared for the THIEF IN THE NIGHT who will strike very soon. Some will be shocked to find that those Holy-Rolin’ Christians were right all along. The thief, Jesus, is coming back for His Bride, me and whomever else is looking for His return. He’s coming to “steal us away.” All others will be left to endure the most horrific 7 years in human history. Your worst nightmare will seem tame in comparison.

May God have mercy on all your souls!!!!!

God bless you in JESUS name, Amen.

  31. This isn’t the place, GG, and I appreciate your comments on the creation, but those who have believed HAVE entered into rest. The gate is narrow because it is easier for self-righteous (and very religious) man in Adam to walk piously down the broad road to destruction, than it is to enter into the gate of rest from one’s works by receiving Christ’s finished work that alone justifies and gives us his resurrection life as new creations(Gal2v20). If that’s not settled ‘as long as it’s called today’,there is no right-standing with God. Nor any fruit…Jesus is no thief in the night for his bride that awaits him. She (and she alone)has a new heart and nature that loves him…it’s not an earthly millenial utopia which is the Christian’s hope, but a new heaven and a new earth as the consummation of what has already been finished at the cross…the gospel surely, really is ‘good news’,rest for the weary etc, not bad news or no news. The difficulty with the gospel of grace is that the root of all man’s sin since the fall is his self-righteousness. ‘Give me the knowledge of good and evil and I will perform. And you, God, can favour me and bless me for my efforts!’ It’s works salvation right through, and THAT is the broad road to destruction, that is the path of those who are ALREADY dead in sins and trespasses. Natural man is too busy trying to prove to himself that he is affirmed by God over others on the basis of what he does, to open his eyes to the gospel that saves and gives life-and which he deparately needs. He doesn’t realize that his increased efforts just condemn him all the more(Rom2) and keep them from bearing the good fruit of a regenerate heart that is under grace…and but for the grace of God, such were all of us. Thank God that there is surely abundant life in Christ NOW,for those who are hungry, and whosoever will. To live is Christ,to die is gain, Paul said. Yes, Christians strive. Yet not they, but the grace of God which is with them. They have no sufficiency without it, but they surely do have abundant adequacy with it!(2Cor3). So we need,as the Galatians needed, to make sure we strive according to the power of God which is at work in the new man to will and to do of God’s good pleasure. And not aim to do what only God can do in,as and through us as we believe with a faith that properly respects the ‘good news’,working by love. Love which constrains like only love can, procuring the response like only love can,in the liberty of grace. To live under law is to quench this faith, and it’s fruits, because law is the strength of sin,not holiness(1Cor15v56)…so our new eternal life is supposed to be,I think, with a God who is both transcendent and awesome, and our Abba, in whom our life is hid in Christ our Beloved, who has joined himself to us apart from any of our supposed merits! But by his worthiness which he has given us in him!..sorry the lack of paragraphs. I’ve been typing on my mobile.

  32. It’s simple really, we are saved by grace, through faith, but we are not to abuse our liberty. The Lord said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15 We are known by our fruits, to live like hell, and count on grace alone is not advisable. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”. Furthermore, faith without works is dead, and we are to strive to be workmen approved by God. Striving to walk according to the Word (Jesus), and acknowledging Him in all your ways, keeps you on the path towards that strait gate. I don’t think pastor Prince would disagree with any of that, however, when you’re in the mega-church business, a lighter message seems to keep the heat off. I listen to him some, it’s pretty entertaining, at least he’s not preaching mohammed was the last prophet of God. So, as the Lord said, “Forbid [him] not: for he that is not against us is for us.” Luke 9:50.
    Yours in Christ,

P.S. May I suggest you layoff the foul language bro, not the best of fruit is it?

  33. hey mr. porter,

i love the way you talk. do you talk like that in your day to day conversation, stringing verses togetherl? i so want to be able to that with song lyrics or lines from spanish writers.

what foul language are you referring to? is it ‘kiss my ass’, ‘Richly Fucked’ or ‘Fuck the Superstars’?

i agree. it’s not the best of fruit. it ain’t even a fruit, dude.

  34. The book says meditate on the Word, and pray without ceasing, so I do try to keep the verses in mind… at the ready. By the way, I definitely don’t walk the perfect walk, and my language gets out of hand occasionally, since I’m in the auto repair business. A mashed finger, and frustration usually does not equal joyous noise. Try not to be too cool bro, it’s fruit alright, just rotten fruit. Our language is supposed to be edifying to the hearer.
    Keep the faith,

  35. how come unedifying tartuffes like porter are allowed to comment on this blog and foul-mouthed gentle people are not?

  36. Foul-mouthed gentle people? Sounds a bit oxymoronic to me. Anyway, just visiting Babs, I was looking for some people not totally in agreement with the all grace message by pastor Prince. I don’t really like all whipped cream and no pie… By the way, you surprised me with that reference to Tartuffe, that was cute.

  37. hey mr. porter,

i suppose thou art familiar with ‘Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?’ and despite using out of hand language yourself, i suppose it’s ok for you to remind others to layoff foul language because thou art ‘speaking the truth in love’.

and i suppose since we have a ‘faith (that) is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen’, you can see the ‘eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God’ but you can’t see a gentleness beyond the foul-mouthed exterior of a person.

and i further suppose since you do not ‘suffer as … a busybody in other men’s matters’, all that searching for effortless jo, dismissing muslims and replying to dumb blogs, you do it for Him because ‘Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.’

    like i said, interesting.

  38. Sorry to disturb your blog kingdom, just passing through. If anyone here considers foul language the least bit edifying then I am certainly in the wrong place. To me, or obviously to anyone with a common sense of propriety, there is no doubt that kind pleasantries, and cordial discourse are the attributes of gentle people, certainly not foul language. That aside, have you ever truly considered what it means to be a born again Christian? Also, may I enquire as to the origination of your nom de plume?

  39. hey mr. porter,

i can’t resist answering loaded questions like “have you ever truly considered what it means to be a born again Christian?”

it’s like asking my hypothetical wife who refuses to do housework “have you ever truly considered what it means to be a wife?”

actually, i still have a lot of things to learn about being a born again Christian and i’m learning everyday.

for example, today i learnt that to be a gentle Christian, one should refrain from foul language like ‘fuck’ (here i go again) since ‘your speech (should) be always with grace, seasoned with salt’ BUT to call homosexuals ‘perverted minority’, that’s absolutely fine. no problemo.

also, thanks to one of your associated links on your website, i learnt that for a born again Christian man like me, if my hypothetical wife cheats on me, i have the right to divorce her. but if i cheat on her, my born again Christian wife cannot divorce me. it’s biblical, we didn’t ask for it and God planned it that way. (unfortunately, there isn’t a group called ‘Divorced Moms for Christ’. methinks they need more help.)

one more lesson for today but i can’t be absolutely sure on how correct i am. but i suspect those that use the lesser versions of the bible are less right than those who use the king james version bible. that might mean those who read Greek and Hebrew are ‘more more’ right than those who use the kjv. i have to get back to you on this.

(P.S. i usually don’t go into long threads when replying comments but since i’m limiting access of the blog before the year ends singapore time, i thought i have a last fling.)

  40. First of all, becoming born again is a changing of one’s mind, one’s attitude – ie. repent. It’s not all about what you want anymore, it’s about putting Him first, you get an attitude of praise, because you become aware of, and are thankful for your salvation. You now realize there is a way out of this mess, and you want to share this good news (gospel) with others. Also, you want to get to know Him better, you become hungry for that knowledge, so you begin to feed on the Word. If you do not believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, then you are starving yourself, and have not had a true regenerative experience. I often refer to more than one version, but always begin with the King James, the more you study, the more you appreciate it. The King of England at that time put the power of the crown behind that translation effort, it wasn’t all about book sales, as it typically is now. Anyway, if you don’t believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, then you will find passages that don’t agree with your modern liberal world view offensive. If you are not willing to stand up for the Word (Jesus), and accept the attendant persecution, then you are just a player, and not truly born again. He said the world hated Him first, and it will hate you. Why? For telling the truth that’s why. I hope you decide to join in the battle.
    In His service,

  41. some people just love the law more than what jESUS DID FOR THEM.Ifeel sorry for those that are still trying to work theire way up the Christian law ladder. Please read the Book of Galatians.

  42. the hours are ticking away so in these final minutes, i will try to be nicer…

    hey mr. porter,

i do have some questions and i do hope (for myself) that they are genuine.

when you talk about repenting, what do you think of? like for me, i think of the parable of the prodigal son and paul saying he’s the chief of sinners. you mentioned thankful – is it simply thankful because he’s given you eternal life or is it thankful because despite being crap, God loves you? for me, i know i am crap even now. even when positionally and relationally i am not, i know i am capable of being hateful, selfish and evil just like that. i see that in myself. maybe i do have a modern liberal world view. but i think why i am uneasy calling homosexuals perverted or people who swear ungentle because i find myself the worst of sinners.

i have in my heart a lot of room for people facing religious persecution because my mother used to be against me going to church and was quite fierce about it. so in the same way, i have a lot of heart for sinners because i too, at least behaviorally i can be exactly like them especially when i give in to fear, greed and temptation. giving them labels won’t be helpful. if people that attend your church can be different in terms of thinking and behavior, how about millions that go under the label of conservatives./liberals? there is a person behind that label. a real one. (i have to remind myself of the 18,000. tsk tsk, isaiah)

i have a question about your view on a true regenerative experience. millions of people believe the Bible as the inspired Word of God but quite a few are tearing at each other throats because they interpret the Bible differently. people in the same church can have opposing viewpoints which is why you have church splits. so do you think when you have opposing viewpoints, people are regenerated differently, i.e. some are at 45% and some are 5%? Yet all believe in the inspired Word of God. And everybody quotes Scripture! everybody! i suppose you think liberals are quoting the bible according to their viewpoint, i think they think the same about you.

you mentioned a hunger for the word of God. it’s interesting because i have used the same expression countless of times. but as i look around today, i see a hunger for knowledge everywhere. Richard Dawkins’ book the God Delusion was a bestseller. but even in myself, i am ambivalent of the usefulness of this hunger. quite often, i seek this knowledge to support my existing worldview and lots of people today are guilty of that. even Christians. do you read psychology books? it’s really interesting to me because so many studies have shown how unconscious our thinking is. We like to think we make all decisions rationally but it isn’t so. We are often unaware of our own thinking but when people ask us about our decisions, we are quite good at fabricating an answer to explain why we do what we did.

i have a simple reason why the church hates us. because so many of us are hypocrites. we talk about love and unity. and yet we thumped our bibles at each other and say our understanding is better than yours. we are capable of so much hate and contempt (just scroll up and see some comments). we talk so zealously and forcefully about homosexuals and yet we speak so softly about adultery, relatively speaking. we say we are holier than thou and we have the truth and yet there are so many versions of the truth in our relatively young faith.

all these doesn’t mean God isn’t real. i think too often we say something is the truth not because we know it is but because we need certainty. and we are afraid. there are a lot of fearful people in this world including me. and our understanding of that faith is influenced by that fear. we talk about faith a lot. for many, it means we have all the answers tied up and the Bible explains everything. but maybe faith really means the evidence of things not seen, that despite the lack of easy answers, one can still believe.

anyway, i’m sure you won’t think i’m writing all this to correct you or anyone else. everything i do, i i do it for myself. i am in my hear of hearts still a selfish person.

  43. I don’t know if Stu was directing the comment about people loving the law more than the Lord, towards me or not. I highly doubt that is true. Most born again believers love the Lord enough to try and live according to the Word. Recall the scripture I mentioned above – “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15. Stu suggested I (or someone) read the book of Galatians, I would counter read the book of James. It’s all in context. We are supposed to run the race to win, which does not include skipping over the hard parts. If you just want to straggle in, that’s your choice, maybe you’ll make it. Personally, I never enjoyed being the dunce in class or the last one over the finish line. Just like in this reality, there are rewards for those that put forth effort, or attempt to give it their all. Is that easy for any of us? Sure doesn’t seem like it to me. Anyway, it’s not just homosexuals that are perverting God’s ideal for us. Adultery, stealing, lying, murder, gluttony, etcetera are all perverting that ideal. Should we condone any of it? Nope. They are all perverted desires of the flesh, and we are not to make provision for them – “… put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].” Romans 13:14. Surely, you’ll admit the Lord made it clear what marriage is – “For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh”. So, I’ll just go with the Lord’s definition, and be at variance with Hollywood and other politically correct lover’s of the world. I’ll finish with this – “Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.” 2 John 1:9
    In His service,
    By His mercy and grace,

  44. Once saved always saved ? the answer to this question is KEY for it will determine where we go from here !

2Peter 3:15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

Listen to the audio msgs on Grace with regards to Salvation this link. It will change your life !!!

  45. I’m FOR living by His Grace. Why? As Joseph Prince reminds us, if we are conscious of the law, we will fail. If we followed the first rule, “Love your neighbor as yourself”, we wouldn’t break any of the other Laws. Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus! He came for 2 reasons: Love and Forgivness. Joseph Prince will tell you that you will not fall under Grace, if you harden your heart and go against what God says is right. (This is righteousness.) We need to ‘repent’, which means (in the Greek) to ‘change our minds’, as Porter said. The moment we repent (or change or minds about what we are doing or thinking), we are instantly covered by Grace!! Isn’t that AWESOME?!! That’s a loving and Holy God, who wants to know his children. Our Faith eggs us on, it is a walk, and Grace is the Person of Christ. The Holy Spirit leads our steps, and this is how we somehow manage to grow in Him. He is not willing that ANY should perish! Read 1Corinthians 13. Start looking at the Father as your Daddy, loving and playing with you in the back yard!

  46. Don’t have to argue so much. The cows can come home and pigs can fly. God cannot control how you think and what you want to believe, just like Adam, He gave him a choice, but his consequence is death.
It is stated in Revelation 3: 16 “Since you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am going to spit you out of my mouth.” Want to go all cold – the Law, go all out to fulfill every single commandment. Want to go all hot – the Grace, go all out to believe Jesus has already nail your sins on the cross, you are no longer under the Law, but under Grace.
Want to be Lukewarm? – follow the Law and yet believe Jesus died for your sins? you know your end result.

  47. esther,

it takes two to argue. unfortunately, i am not an expert on cattle or swine. “God cannot?” i thought God can do anything. effortlessly.

interesting interpretation of verse (some would say ‘she anyhow one’).

    one interpretation here:

but it’s possibly wrong since God probably didn’t appear to the author while he was on the way to the Alps with mrs. proverbs 31 in tow.

as you already know oh expert interpreter of revelations, that the church addressed in the passage was Laodicea, an extremely wealthy city who made money effortlessly. I doubt you very much like the church in Smyrna whom John praised (they had to toil and sweat a lot).

    the poor Smyrnians.

  48. i am not thinking but this old entry and these comments are interesting reads. isaiah, i read with amusement how CHRISTian you sound in some of the comments.

But what defines a CHRISTian? Works or Faith? Of course, the best answer is Works with Faith but is this humanly possible?

No reply needed. Just having fun at 3.30am.

  49. … well come to think of it – at least a church that is SUPER rich makes tongues wag, hogs headlines, sets curious minds thinking about God again… & it’s refreshing to know that Christians are really no idiots – certainly no losers although, that kinda money raised and paid and reported and argued about is freaking shocking.

back to the point – is Jesus rich? remember the coin in the mouth of a fish…

maybe next time, it’s better not to be so transparent in accounts and not be so eager to give figures – observe the other silent equally large churches that STILL silent.

  50. hi notThinking,

does it matter to you if Christians are perceived as idiots and losers? How do we, when our gospel is “foolishness” (1 Cor 1:18), also have an answer for outsiders that is “seasoned with salt” (Col 4:6)?

does it matter if Jesus was rich or poor? If we found irrefutable evidence that Jesus was a vegetarian, does it mean we all have to be vegetarians? Do we all need to be carpenters? What is applicable and what is not?

was NCC transparent? This is what the ST reported:

“The independent church paid one employee between $500,001 and $550,000 in its last financial year, checks by The Straits Times showed.”

“In 2007, the Commissioner did a governance review of seven religious groups here with annual incomes of over $10 million each. The Straits Times asked all seven, including New Creation, about the salaries of the key officers. Only Trinity Christian Centre and Campus Crusade disclosed the information.”

  51. I recall a place in the bible, where even King David after he had been anointed King, though Saul was still on the throne, would not harm or say anything against God’s anointed one. Pastor Prince has been anointed by GOD to preach, and who GOD has anointed is protected. The bible also tells you that you will know them by their fruits, and he, his wife and church has much fruit. The message GOD has anointed him to preach is one that is desperately needed today, we are under grace and not works, we have no ability on our own to keep any of the laws, we don’t need condemnation, because we certainly alone are able to condemn ourselves and believe bad reports but GOD tells us to rejoice because JESUS has overcome the world(death, sadness, pain, suffering etc). So we need to rejoice in his blessedness and not be jealous, because GOD is no respecter of person’s, He will do the same for you.

2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
2Co 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2Co 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Deu 29:26 For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
Deu 29:27 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

  53. someone exalted singapore self proclaimed prince in one of her post with these words:

“For the bible says that whosoever go against the man God, is against GOD Himself.”

    another said:

“recall a place in the bible, where even King David after he had been anointed King, though Saul was still on the throne, would not harm or say anything against God’s anointed one. Pastor Prince has been anointed by GOD to preach, and who GOD has anointed is protected.”

i think the lady said it best. anyone who opposes prince(jp) opposes GOD.

    end of story.

this reminds me of what the apostle paul preached – i preach christ, the anointed, CRUCIFIED.

in the french revolution, the people literally crucified their anointed king( at some pt in history, man was elevated to the status of divinity) and installed democracy – no more one man being GOD to all or those gullible enough to submit themselves to the rule of a single man.

most failed to understand and discern the subtleties of jesus’s kingdom message which is actually a political message masked by mysticsm or mythological languages.

fact is, much of the supernaturalism purported by these “anointed servants of god” cannot be fully substantiated especially under a controlled environment.

however, if it is indeed a political message( btw, i am not referring to christian theocracy), then we should ask..what is the political message of jesus?

whilst you people are being tossed back and forth by the seas of religious fanaticism, the “political kingdom of god” is indeed taking shape NOW( right under your noses)

like paul said, we preached the ANOINTED CRUCIFIED( an ingenious message that most failed to apprehend).

jesus was a king….crucified. no MAN GOD/ or imperialistic rule(at the time of jesus, the roman empire opposed the kingdom of god). if you have believed and received a MAN AS GOD OVER YOU(church/religious or secular institution), you are living in SIN – that is what SIN meant.

jesus( the king) returned the reign to people hence making a nation of KINGS( not one anointed KING but KINGS.go look up your bible)

your unending conflicts is because all of you have been deceived.

(read the above link. prosperity does not work and i will say that of grace doctrine too)

  54. it’s like you are a wretched pauper and dressed like one too but since a rich man gave you a make over in his armani suit, you now look like a million dollar from the outside though you are still a pauper within.

but of course, you were also told that wearing the armani suit has the power to transform the real you, a pauper, into a rich and holy person.

  55. i also particularly like this other story. you are a wretched filthy murderer about to be condemned to the eternal abyss of fire and brimstone by our righteous judiciary. but lucky for you, a wealthy, powerful and righteous man appeared from no where, stood against the hash judgment by offering a substitute for your guilt. miraculously, the judiciary agreed to your rescuer glorious plan. so instead of punishing the murderer, the court wisely punished the innocent son of your rescuer.

you walked out the horrible legal court room, grateful for your new found freedom.

you vouched to build a shrine for the son of your rescuer and spread his gracious heroic deeds.

and it turned to be a clever business idea and made you a very rich person.

i like the happy ending, don’t you?

  56. [isaiahlim:comment deleted. boring comment left by Cajun Joe. CJ wants you to look at some NASA video and left a whole bunch of biblical verses. think CJ is trying to say that NASA confirmed that God is God. they better be with the money they’re spending.]

  57. [isaiahlim: comment deleted. the decoder wants us to deocde some shit. i did break the code however – like me, i think the decoder needs to get laid, immediately and overwhelmingly.]

  58. [isaiahlim: comment deleted. CJ wants you to know that the Bible is God’s word and that CJ interprets the Bible correctly unlike you losers (“It is indeed sad that virtually each and every church throughout the world cannot understand many truths of the Bible”). my solution is to go have a beer. if you’re Scottish, go have ten.]

  59. i don’t like the idea of censorship and deleting comments.

i also like to be seen as open-minded.

but what i dislike even more are naggy and preachy comments.

so i am going to censor the 3 comments above.

please say what you like about me. i care but i’m learning not to.

  60. It’s like saying I don’t like to fuk(apologetically) but I fuk anyway but god will understand me because I stand on the side of truth which is the side of bed I usually wakes up after a good wanking

hey, I am also pap, why are you complaining you jerkies, and I do as I please so fuk off, I just got laid laid by my dogs and I am looking forward to world war 3 by yours lovingly and graciously.

    See you in church wankers

  61. sometimes, we censor because we fear the truth may derail our profitable business.

so we enact laws to enforce lawlessness

  62. We have been made partakers of the divine nature by faith:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

    2 Peter 1:2-4

If that interpretation was right, we would have “divine people” all around us instead of a history of bloodshed and “CENSORING”.

btw, divine people are suing others for “disclaimer” after claiming they can perform supernatural feats on the captive souls by…demons(lol) – they won because divine people judged in their favor(lol).

and latest, in our dirty little secret all censored, divine people are taking developers to court over some old buildings.

and and and….divine people are looking forward to their lord coming back to wipe out( world war 3) those who disagree with them. oh how gracious..grace grace grace(lol).

and and and and….divine people are laughing to the bank at your expense!!!lol

  63. The way I see it, Cajun and decoder had made fair comment on the bible based on their world view. Put it this way, the bible is a much abused book and apparently, none has a monopoly over how it should be interpreted.

That said, I wonder why isaiahlim took offense and hit out at both of them when they have not veered off topic?

  64. Moral of the story is, if you had struck others, thinking you are a big fiak because you blog publicly, don,t others for fiaking you back .

When that happens, please make sure you don’t hide behind your scissors or under the skirt of whoever covers you.

You have just proven to be another piece of religious shit beneath.

  65. Howdy Isaiahlim,

I’m going to level set with you and separate the facts from the hype.
When “Joseph Prince False Prophet” is searched in Google, your web site comes up and is near the top of the list.

This certainly will attract folks from everywhere to post comments.
    Check the IP addresses…..I did.

What’s with the smug, pompous replies involving booze and sex?
Ya know the street talk right?

Some of those postings had a warranty, “satisfaction guaranteed or double your garbage back.

If you can’t take THE HEAT IN THE KITCHEN, then shut the blog down and beat it!!!!

  66. I can only laugh at you Isaiahlim. More laugh and funny because of your stupidity.
You look wiser but actually you are more like a moron. You are from the planet Moronia.

Only can say to you, you are the most lonely person in the whole earth because of your ignorance. Deep inside of you, you are hurt and pretending to be not. you can hide but you can’t run from facts of life.

  67. Joseph Prince changed his last name to Prince to fool his zombies that he is the son of God. The real son of God is Jesus Christ and he is the real Prince. I wonder those JP zombies ever asked why he chose Prince as his last name. Did Joseph disown his parents by not using his real family name?

  68. Wow Dude! I can’t believe how many people are taking you serious! You and me both know that no one in their right mind would write the stuff you’re writing. So, I’ll bet it’s fun to sit there and see all these people respond like they care. I think I’ll do the same thing, but I need to pick someone else, huh. I know, I pick the Pope! I don’t know nothing about him, but that doesn’t matter, does it? I mean, you don’t know nothing about Joseph Prince and you’re doing a bang up job of getting people riled.
I’ll call mine the “Ringling Bros/ Barnum and Bailey cannonization of the Pope” and just see how far that flies. I mean, that fits in with your PERV thing, don’t it?

  69. I was reading the book of Daniel yesterday. I wondered those who claimed that they received a divine revelation can pass the test of The Furnace of Blazing Fire like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego?

It is easy to say that you hear God and obey God, when things are going well. When the real test comes, how many will stay?

The truth will be revealed by and by. Honestly, I think if JP is not genuine, the truth will show up sometime. In the meantime, just continue to read the bible, and learn from God directly.

  70. I wonder why the followers of JP are so adamantly for him, instead of questioning what others are saying, that is, that he could possibly be a false prophet. Wouldn’t it behoove you to rather ask God if you are following someone’s teaching falsely? The defense of his followers astound me. It is amazing to me, that instead of seeing if this “grace” doctrine he teaches is truly grace, or if other contortions of the truth is packaged in with it. Yes, grace is what saves us, and we are positionally righteous, but we walk it out by His power (which also is grace) We choose life daily, as we depend on the power of the Spirit to use us, His vessel, for His glory. It’s all about giving Him our lives, and letting His will be done, not about Him “blessing” our will or lusts of our fleshly desires for money, fame, and good times. Please consider, brothers and sisters, that you may have fallen into a doctrine of demons masterfully crafted by satan in using God’s grace as his tool to lure many into blindness.

  71. Hey I like Pastor Prince, but some of devotees are lacking a sense of humor. Why do people get so up in arms about religious topics. It was clearly a sarcastic write poking fun at Pastor Prince, like I said I enjoy his preaching but when I get letters monthly from him looking for donations I kind of chuckle myself. Blessings.

  72. I have not laughed so heartily all week! This is a riot! Fabulous! Yes sir, it’s premium writing if ever I saw it! 😀 “PERV” – absolutely hilarious! THANK YOU!

  73. You sound like someone who has not understood the gospel of Grace…. I invite you to hear Joseph Prince teachings without a critical ear, because you’ll be surprised to know how much you’ve missed, the same as I was. Don’t judge something by the cover….

  74. Let us open the cover and look at Joseph’s Inner Circle.

    1. The church did not confirm if the amount went to its leader, Senior Pastor Joseph Prince, but told The Straits Times that its policy is to ‘recognise and reward key contributors to the church and Senior Pastor Prince is the main pillar of our church’s growth and revenue’.

When asking for donations at the pulpit, the self-claimed Prince tells his zombies all glory goes to God. When rewarding themselves, all glory goes to him. Haha So obvious but his worshipers can’t see.

Prince has four enticing categories of “partners” to bestow on those sharing their wealth with him. Least of all is the fourth class, “Destined to Reign Partner,” for a monthly “gift” of $10 or more, or a one-time gift of $200. For this gift, one receives a personalized blue membership card.
Then there is the “Grace and Favor Partner.” As this third class partner, one must “give” $50 a month or more, or a one-time gift of$500. Instead of just a blue personalized partner’s card, you get a purple one! I wonder why purple is so much better, or is it simply to distinguish? We shall see.
I wonder…doesn’t the “Destined to Reign Partner” have God’s “grace and favor,” or will he or she have to cough up and financially upgrade themselves eventually to this category, or go without grace and favor? (What mischievous devil dreamed up these category titles based on financial contribution, anyway?)
To be a second class partner with Mr. Prince, you can go for the “Gospel Revolution Partner” opportunity. Send in $200 or more a month, or a one-time gift of $2,000, and now you are a veritable angel on God’s behalf (it’s all in the wallet, people). And guess what? You’ll have a gold card, not just a cheapie blue, or semi-cheapie purple one!
However, if you’re poor, like perhaps Peter, Andrew, James, and John, who were ignorant fishermen, or John the Immerser, who came from the wilderness with camel’s hair and leather girdle, or Paul the apostle, who forsook all to minister unto the Lord, you’ll just have to forego being a “Gospel Revolution Partner.” No Gospel glory or gold card for you!
Finally, if you wish to “fulfill your destiny,” you must up your “gift” from $200 a month or more (notice the consistent “or more”), to amonthly gift of $500 or more, or send your Prince a one-time “gift” of $5,000. Simple enough. Not enough money, no inside relationship with Mr. Prince. Isn’t that just like Jesus, Who laid down His life, paying in blood for the poorest, without expecting a financial contribution?
Seeing it isn’t enough to be “destined to reign,” or have “grace and favor,” or even to be a “Gospel Revolution Partner,” what you must do, if you don’t have enough money saved or coming in, is go to the bank and take out a loan, or pull out your credit card, or sell your car and send JP the required amount. Rob your grandmother, if you must. After all, great will be your reward in Heaven!
You will not only have “grace and favor” or be a “Gospel Revolution Partner,” or be merely “destined to reign,” YOU WILL REIGN! Why? Because now you will be a partner in “Joseph’s Inner Circle”!!

Zombies, you certainly have missed this part of his teachings.

  75. People that give money to organized religions are complete and utter morons. Stop believing in god. You’re ruining your life and those of your friends and loved ones. Stop wasting your time, money, and thoughts on something fictional. One person who reads this comment will become and atheist. Just think-don’t follow.

  76. Get the teachings and if you dont like it, dont give! Perhaps u dont know that Prince used return offerings when the monies required are met. Over 100k was returned to the congregation when the funding for a certain Hawaian guitar player / singer, when the budget was met. Have u ever been to a church where money was returned to the congregation because God supplied more than enough? Not in my 30 yrs of church attending.

  77. Joseph Prince is a godly man. I thank God for his wonderful, insightful ministry. He is incredibly unique. No one I’ve ever heard (and I’ve heard alot over the decades) explains the old and new covenants the way he does. It is by revelation of God, so I wouldn’t be quick to judge. No ministry is ever going to satisfy every single person or Christian 100%. That is life and since God allows for our differences and disagreements, so should we. Get over yourself and move on in the mercy and grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I recommend Joseph Prince’s ministry to all who stumble onto this useless blog. You can catch JP on YouTube and/or his website, same name. God bless all…. Jesus is coming soon!

  78. I have looked but the teaching of JP is not as you say. I think when taken in full context it make perfect sense.
